Here are a few of the questions we are asked the most at the studio if you have a question that is not here please don't hesitate to send us a message and ask we will be more than happy to assist you in any way we can.

  • What is boudoir photography?
    Boudoir photography is a style of photography that captures intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of individuals, typically in a bedroom or private setting. It focuses on celebrating the beauty, confidence, and sensuality of the subject.
  • What style of photography do you employ?
    Here at Focus Pocus studio, we offer a tasteful elegant style of boudoir photography, we can either shoot light or dark styles to your own preference. other levels of shoot can be discussed in initial contact.
  • Can I bring a friend to support?
    Yes you can although the studio space is quite small you can bring a friend along for moral support and or your safety and security, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible so you can fully enjoy your session
  • How long does a shoot take?
    The answer to this is as long as you need, typically a session will last 2-3 hours but we will not push you to finish as the experience is about you and the beautiful photographs and cannot be rushed.
  • I am nervous as its completely out of my comfort zone any advice?
    I have not met a single person who has come into the session without an element of nerves, Its totally normal and your photographer will guide you through the early steps describing the poses to you and demonstrating where needed ( its also amusing to watch Jamie in. some of the poses and that will ease your nerves.
  • Where are you located
    The studio is based in the heart of Ipswich there is very limited parking available on site but a reasonable pay and display car park is just 100 yards walk away.
  • Will anyone else be at the studio on the day of my session?
    Given the nature of a Boudoir photoshoot there is minimal people at the studio during your shoot time, you will not share the space with anyone who is not related to your session for example if you choose to have hair and makeup done with us Charlotte will be in attendance to touch up as and when it is needed and possibly Quinn the co owner of the studio to assist with lights
  • Can I have skin retouching and or airbrushing?
    Jamie undertakes 90% of the editing at the studio and will discuss the edit style you are looking for at the time and show some examples of what you can request, should you have a specific scar or blemish you would like removed or specifically left in don't hesitate to let us know.
  • Who will photograph my shoot?
    Jamie is the main photographer here at focus Pocus studio, He is a graduate of the university of Suffolk and has been Shooting for nearly 7 years. Jamies approach is very mild mannered and will allow the time for you to grow into your shoot.
  • How much does a session cost?
    At Focus Pocus studio we try to make the experience of a boudoir shoot as cost effective as possible to try and allow everyone to experience the power of a boudoir shoot. our session fees start as low as £150 including £50 of image credit plus the option to add extras, your images will be kept on a secure server for 12 months and you can purchase more at anytime in this window.
